Roscoe Helps Ease Back-to-School Costs for Neighborhood Families

As a mother of three, Roscoe Office Team Leader Barbara Polk knows how daunting it can be to purchase school supplies. This year, the cost of back-to-school supplies has reached record levels, In addition, many family incomes are suffering as a result of the pandemic.

When Polk pitched the idea of a school supply drive to aid schools on Chicago’s West Side, her fellow Roscoe team members were all in. The project quickly picked up steam and Polk and her fellow team members had soon collected $9,000, including donations from a variety of Roscoe vendors. The company matched the donations …

Roscoe Joins in Celebrating a Big Day for Lions in Chicago

Tomorrow is a big day for a celebrated Chicago lion family, or two.

Oct. 14 is the grand opening of the long-awaited Pepper Family Wildlife Center, a state-of-the-art habitat built around the zoo’s original lion house and featuring “nose-to-nose” indoor and outdoor viewing windows.

The savanna-style lion habitat is now home to a new pride that includes one male, Jabari, and three females, Zari, Hasira and Cleo.

The wildlife center is also home to two red pandas, two Canada lynx and two snow leopards.

A Favorite Tradition Keeps the Roscoe Work Family Coming Together Year after Year

Roscoe Service Supervisor Bob Olivera was astounded at the turnout when he entered the restaurant for his 20-year work anniversary celebration recently

But it’s a Roscoe tradition; our 20-Year-Club members return year after year. Long after they’ve retired from the company, they return to help celebrate the new members of the club.

“I couldn’t believe it when I saw it,” said Olivera. “People who retired 20 years ago still come to the dinner. Once you get inducted, it is a lifetime thing. We will all be there next year with the next bunch of buddies.”
