Roscoe to Double Work Uniform Laundering Output with a New Sorting System

In November 2017, Roscoe will go live with the implementation of a new work uniform sorting system known as the Kansort Simplex from Kannegiesser. The Kansort Simplex will allow us to double our output while using the same amount of labor that we currently have and providing us with additional time to inspect and prepare work uniforms for delivery.

The implementation of the Kansort Simplex represents the last phase of our modernization plan. Developed in 2007, our modernization plan represents our investment roadmap so that we can continue to deliver the best quality work uniform rental service in Chicago, northern Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and Southern Wisconsin.

Kannegiesser & Roscoe

The Kansort Simplex will give Roscoe the ability to sort up to 2,000 pieces per hour. There are also future expansion plans to add more components, so Roscoe we will have the ability to produce up to 3,000 per hour out of that system modification. This expanded future system is named Kansort High Speed.

Kannegiesser and Roscoe represent two well-respected industry leaders that are also multi-generational family businesses. The partnership of this garment sortation project will allow both companies the opportunity to continue the development of trend-setting technology while Roscoe continues to deliver high quality to our customers.

Kannegiesser was founded in 1948 and offers a wide range of industrial laundry equipment. With a strong global presence active in 51 countries, they are a world market leader in laundry technology solutions with full equipment integration. Since 1999, Kannegiesser has increased their focus in North America and have grown the US market share substantially in the last 5-10 years operating out of their Texas headquarters. Kannegiesser also recently purchased E-Tech, which manufactures a state-of-the-art monorail and trolley system.

Further Work Uniform Service Enhancements

Combined with our implementation of soil scanning and use of high frequency chips, Roscoe will not only double our work uniform laundering capacity, but we'll also soon be able to provide garment tracking information to our clients one day sooner than today—almost instantaneously from pick-up—so you will always know where your work uniforms are and never be shorted.
