The new trucks purchased from Currie Motors, a valued customer of this Chicago uniform company for over 10 years, are bigger, better and leaner. In a few short weeks, Roscoe will wine and dine an elite group that have served this Chicago uniform company for at least 20 years. Over cocktails, pasta and breadsticks, we will honor two new inductees in the 20 – Year Club. The Roscoe Company started this recognition program in 1957, and every fall hosts a dinner where hard-working Team Members are given a plaque and a gift as a token of our appreciation for contributing to the success of our company. Throughout Roscoe’s history, over 150 Team Members have been employed for 20 years or more, 10 of whom are still active. text

There are many variables in the workplace out of your control, unfortunately, fires and explosions are included in that category. It is estimated that each year in the U.S., fires and explosions kill an estimated 200 workers and injure more than 5,000 others; or 3% of all Fatal Occupational Injuries. That amounts to over $2 billion in property damage costs to businesses. The human and financial toll can wreak havoc to a workplace. text

Roscoe's general placement strategy for rental mats.
Two weeks ago, Roscoe posted on the benefits of having a mat rental program; today we stress the importance of mat placement. If a mat rental system is properly installed it should get nearly 100% of the dirt coming through the door. The reasoning behind this is that 30% of the dirt coming into a building is picked up in the first three feet of matting, while 85% is picked up in the first 15 feet. That adds up to a spotless work environment!
Different mat types serve for different stages of defense against particles and contaminants. The first line of defense is the scraper mats, which also has anti-fatigue mat properties. The heavy and durable rubber stops the toughest of dirt, mud, snow, water and debris from boots and shoes, which is why the best place for these mats are entryways, spillage areas, locker rooms and work stations. All-rubber mats have improved ergonomics which increase employee comfort, reduce fatigue, and result in greater productivity.text
