Chicago Work Uniform Company: 3 Team Members Join the 20-Year Club

The Roscoe Uniform Services Company recently profiled Production Team Leader Miriam Avila for her induction in the 20-Year Club. The Chicago uniform company started the 20-Year Club, 57 years ago as way to commemorate and celebrate the dedication and hard work of team members. Every year a party is held filled with good food, great conversation and even better company. Tonight, November 7, Roscoe team members will celebrate new 20 year members Avila, Ricky Trujillo and Terry Haugh.

Ricky Trujillo is a Senior Peer Trainer in Production, advancing from a Dispatcher when he started at the ripe age of 18. In the profile piece on Avila, the uniform rental company mentioned that Roscoe was part of a Skills Certification program aimed at teaching production team members various jobs and skills making it easier to move them around to other positions. Like Avila was taught by her predecessor, she passed on the skills necessary for Trujillo to become a peer trainer. Avila said she hand-picked her team and while it has taken a long time she is very proud of everyone she is working with. She mentioned she looks for people who have the “right attitude, are talented at various tasks, fast thinkers, detailed and want to learn.” Trujillo fits the bill and he said he is always looking to learn something new and is grateful to Avila for helping him become a Senior Peer Trainer.

Trujillo also trains other team members on the different areas of Production. Our garments go through an eight-point inspection system so there are many opportunities for team members to move around. Trujillo was at the Chicago mat company when the older and more manual technology was still around, but has since trained, learned and worked on the new state-of-the-art equipment that has greatly improved his job.

The Chicago Uniform Company Invests in People and Technology

Route Service Representative, Terry Haugh, shares the same sentiment in how far along the uniform services company has come. Roscoe has strived to be the first in the industry in all facets by investing in new technology and cutting edge equipment to provide superior quality products to customers, but also to improve the daily tasks of the team members providing the service. Haugh also started in 1994 as a First Helper, then Jumper and now his current position. While technology can take you so far, it comes down to the people. Jim Buik said Haugh, “has a great relationship with his customers and he is always looking out for them while serving Roscoe.”

The uniform services company has always invested in people and provided opportunities for advancement because they in turn produce great work and provide exceptional service. We are proud to have Trujillo and Haugh join the 20-Year Club because of the pride they show in their everyday work. It is truly appreciated.

Congratulations, enjoy your night and here’s to 20 more! A shout-out and congratulations as well to President Jim Buik (35 years), Route Service Representative Nick Vital (35 years) and Sales Team Leader Mark Stedman (30 years) for their continuing dedication to the Chicago uniform company.
