The graphs below illustrate these findings when Market Measurement, Inc., an independent market research firm, asked companies renting uniforms from local and national textile rental suppliers, who they felt would provide:
- Fairer billing
- Better product quality
- Higher quality service personnel
- Offer better value for the cost
Local, independently owned and operated textile rental companies won by a significant margin.
The research firm, in a follow-up study, also asked companies that rent uniforms and had recently switched their supplier to rate their experience after the change. The study found companies that switched to a local independent textile rental supplier from a national chain were more likely to say that their new supplier exceeded their expectations in the area of service.
Local Service = Satisfied Service
Fact: one of the best indicators of showing overall satisfaction is the likelihood of a contract renewal. 74% of customers using an independently-owned launderer today would “absolutely renew” their uniform contract in the next few months, compared to 52% currently using national chains.
