The Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Certification outlines safety regulations for the control of biological, physical, and chemical hazards. Established in 1997, these standards govern the microbiological safety of food and medical industry environments – including uniforms worn by factory workers and medical personnel.
The certification provides seven principles that companies must adhere to, including verification procedures, hazard analyses, and more. Statements of antimicrobial efficacy must be supported by EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) registration; failure to do so can result in legal fines for the misrepresentation of unregistered or unproven antimicrobial activity.

- High Temperatures of 165° kill certain pathogenic bacteria and viruses including tuberculosis and COVID-19
- Bleaching, a long-recognized germicide, is used in a mild concentration of chlorine to eliminate possible strains of E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in 30 seconds
- Sour Conditions eliminate remaining bacteria through exposure to acidic conditions
