If you're driving on I-290 recently and notice something different near the Homan/Independence Ave exit, it's because Roscoe – the Chicago Uniform Company – has updated their signage.
The vintage sign with the wash cycle in the bowl of the "R" from Roscoe is now replaced with the bright orange and prideful lion that Chicago's favorite mat rental company is known for.
The Roscoe Company re-branded in 2008 to convey our approach to service and our competitive edge. The lion is regal, symbolic of a company with great people who take pride in doing a great job for our customers, but also dominant and aggressive.
Roscoe was the first industrial laundry in the nation to implement a wastewater pre-treatment system, and has worked internally and with suppliers to strengthen its conservation efforts – earning the Governor's Pollution Prevention Award for solid waste reduction. The image is also one of dignity and respect, as is evident by our mission statement:

Our mission statement ties in with the uniform rental company's slogan of "Take Pride" reminding team members and customers to put forth their best foot in all areas and be passionate and responsible about their work, to work with integrity and fairness and go the extra mile.
The Chicago Mat Company is Leasing the Space at 3333 W. Harrison
In 2008, to align with conservation efforts and our reboot, this laundry service consolidated its operations into one building. With the consolidation we updated the technology and equipment in our main building, adding skylights, motion-sensored overhead lights, Spindle tracking system and a state-of-the-art finishing system making it the most energy efficient operation in the nation. This left our building down the street at 3333 W. Harrison virtually unused, except for some light storage and manufacturing.
The Chicago uniform company is currently leasing the space with a total building size of 50,750 SF divisible. It also has 4 drive-in doors, a short dock, two 8,000 lb. elevators, a 5,500 SF parking lot and excellent location and utilities. It is great for warehouse, light manufacturing, distribution and sales.
