The Chicago Mat Company Provides an Employee Assistance Program

At the Roscoe Chicago Uniform Company we value our team members, therefore, we place a great deal of importance on their safety and well-being whether at work or at home.

One of the ways we ensure this is through an Employee Assistance Program or EAP. The Roscoe Company uses Perspectives, a Chicago-based company that provides services throughout the world. We feel confident to work with a program that was named “Best Places to Work in Illinois” several years including 2010, 2013 and 2014. This is so, because they invest in their employees which in turn invest in ours.

Perspectives EAP services are provided at no cost to our Team Members and offer a variety of services including WorkLife to assist with legal, financial and child, pet and elder care issues. Wellness Coaching to aid team members in staying healthy, fit and productive and general assistance in handling personal and workplace stress and other issues.

With Perspectives, and other similar EAPs, team members can rest easy in the fact that it is completely confidential and employers will not be notified when the service is used. Furthermore, workers can expect immediate assistance, 24/7, on-line, over the phone or in person. The possibilities are endless. A key takeaway from an EAP is early prevention. Team members can seek help during the early stages of a problem, instead of letting it build over time and possibly escalate into something more serious or a possibly violent situation. This is so crucial in our current society where oftentimes serious issues are externalized in an unsettling manner.
