Roscoe Blog

Thanks, Giving!

Dear Customers, Vendor Partners and Team Members,

We have so much to be thankful for at Roscoe in spite of losing Donald W. Buik, son of the founder and industry giant, a few months ago. Our customer satisfaction, as measured by an independent research organization, is at an all time high, growth has exceeded expectations and we enjoyed hosting family operators from across the nation as they toured our plant to provide valuable feedback to improve our operation. A number of process improvement and sustainability projects were completed, providing a strong foundation for the future.

Roscoe Team Members Unite to Provide Exceptional Service

Teamwork is vital for an operation to run smoothly and efficiently. Steve Jobs had a very interesting metaphor for teamwork. When he was younger he befriended an elderly neighbor who invited him to his garage one day to show him an old rock tumbler. The neighbor got some regular old ugly rocks and put them in the can with a little bit of liquid and grit powder, closed the can and told him to come back the next day. The can made quite the racket as the stones went around. When Jobs came back the next day the man opened the can and took out these amazingly beautiful polished rocks. Jobs goes on to say that, "through the team, through that group of incredibly talented people bumping up against each other, having arguments, having fights sometimes, making some noise, and working together they polish each other and they polish the ideas, and what comes out are these beautiful stones."  text

The Chicago Uniform Company Wishes You and Your Loved Ones Happy Holidays

uniform services, rent uniforms, mat rentals

We here at the Chicago Uniform Services Company can't believe the holidays are already upon us and another year has passed. To celebrate a great 2014, this past Friday we held a special holiday lunch for the entire company. Team members brought in dishes and deserts while Roscoe President, Jim Buik, prepared his special holiday ham.

The uniform rental company came together in celebration of the hard work Roscoe team members put forth that made 2014 such a successful year. We have assembled a top-notch team that we are proud to work with day-in and day-out. Team members exchanged gifts during the luncheon and a raffle was held for electronics and gift cards.

Hands down, the Roscoe Chicago Uniform Company team is the best. It is through them that we are able to provide exceptional customer service, quality products and stay true to our values.

On top of that, the uniform services team is completely dedicated, allowing Roscoe to have the highest averaged tenured team members in the industry. Therefore, in 1957 the 20-Year Club was born recognizing members for their hard work. The Chicago Mat Company Provides an Employee Assistance Program

At the Roscoe Chicago Uniform Company we value our team members, therefore, we place a great deal of importance on their safety and well-being whether at work or at home.

One of the ways we ensure this is through an Employee Assistance Program or EAP. The Roscoe Company uses Perspectives, a Chicago-based company that provides services throughout the world. We feel confident to work with a program that was named “Best Places to Work in Illinois” several years including 2010, 2013 and 2014. This is so, because they invest in their employees which in turn invest in ours.
