At Roscoe, we're celebrating 97 years in business today and that is a lot to celebrate.
Nine plus decades have passed since two young entrepreneurs in 1921 recognized a booming city's need for someone to launder all of those work clothes. So we'll start there. Below are 97 reasons we are celebrating today.
Our founders George C. Buik and John P. O'Connell, whose processes may have been dramatically different, but whose pioneering spirit still drives us today. Today, Buik's grandson Jim oversees a facility that employs state-of-the-art technology to deliver unparalleled efficiency, accuracy and customer service.text

We came, we ate, we conquered the marble run and then we ate some more, at the always delicious, always entertaining Roscoe annual family picnic at National Grove South on a perfect Chicago summer day.
Roscoe children of all ages welcomed our new clown "Strawberri" at the June 23 event. Strawberri's face painting and balloon making skills were in high demand.
"She had a very long line, from the time she arrived to the time she left," said Human Resources Team Leader Theresa Faulkner. "Everyone loved her."
We also introduced a tricky new team-building exercise at this year's event, with the addition of the highly competitive marble game in which six-person teams competed to get a marble through three pieces of track into a cup. It was an exercise in cooperation and patience, but like all of our games, it was well rewarded.text

If you're looking for an alternative to the big national uniform providers, you probably have a pretty good idea of what you don't want in a work uniform provider.
Missing uniforms, chronic billing issues and spotty customer service practices drive customers away from their national providers on a regular basis.
But it's one thing to know you're getting unacceptable service and another to figure out how to make sure it doesn't happen again. How do you know your next provider won't leave you pulling your hair out over the same sloppy practices?text

At Roscoe, safety is part of everything we do, from the work uniforms we provide to our customers, to the practices we follow in our own facilities. It's built into our culture.
So when we had the opportunity to take our safety program up to an even higher level, we were all in in.
As a result, Roscoe is now one of only 34 companies in Illinois to have received the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) certification, a voluntary program designed to improve workplace safety practices by providing free guidance from OSHA safety consultants and honoring those companies that take the extra step of undergoing a thorough evaluation of their safety practices.text

There are a lot of good reasons for having a line of corporate apparel, whether or not your employees wear a uniform.
As office wear or at company outings, it reinforces a sense of team spirit. In the field, or given as gifts, corporate apparel can help to build your brand.
Secretly of course, companies yearn for the kind of corporate apparel that has a life outside of work. You want your corporate apparel out in the world! Turning heads at the grocery store! Making an appearance on somebody's timeline and photobombing with the cool kids! You want your corporate brand to be one that people recognize and flaunt.
You don't have to be Nike to make it work. But you do have to create apparel that people want to wear. It's got to be well-made, comfortable and available in a variety of styles. Create options. Don't get caught in the trap of trying to be immediately "on trend" – your fashion-forward employees will be over it before you can say whatever it is people are saying these days. The point is, we can help.text
